H-Energy and Kakinada Seaports expand LNG Capabilities

Kakinada Seaports Limited (KSPL) and H-Energy’s subsidiary, East Coast Concessions Private Ltd (ECPL) entered a Port Service Agreement (PSA). According to the PSA, H-Energy will construct an LNG regasification and reloading terminal at the port in Kakinada.

More specifically, H-Energy will aim to support residents in the Andhra Pradesh state with LNG. Also, H-Energy will provide LNG through small carriers to West Bengal’s Kukrahati LNG terminal as well as nearby countries including Myanmar and Bangladesh.

The two organizations intend to work together to help realize the goal of promoting a clean, gas focused economy in India.

According to CEO of H-Energy, Darshan Hiranandani, “H-Energy is excited to partner with Kakinada Seaports for our East coast project. We believe that Kakinada with its existing breakwater and deep draft combined with its close proximity to various natural gas pipeline makes this an efficient and successful project for our customers, our partners, and ourselves.”
