Oceanic Breeze makes Initial LNG Delivery from Australia to Japan

INPEX Corporation’s LNG tanker, Oceanic Breeze, made its initial arrival at INPEX Naoetsu’s LNG terminal in Joetsu City, Japan. The LNG delivery originated at Ichthys LNG project in Australia.

Oceanic Breeze is owned by an INPEX Shipping Co., Ltd. and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd, venture called Oceanic Breeze LNG Transport S.A. (OBLT). The tanker is set to deliver 0.9 million tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG.

INPEX has set goals to create a worldwide gas value chain and the Ocean Breeze is a fundamental step to reaching that goal. INPEX has about 70 projects across the globe, including the Oceanic Breeze and operating Ichthys LNG project in Australia.
